Pregnancy and Birth Class
**New venue added and new term dates**
This class is on offer to expectant mums from 14 weeks pregnant all the way up until your baby arrives.
Whether this is your first or subsequent birth, this is the ideal class to attend during your second and third trimester, allowing you the opportunity to take time to connect with your changing body and baby, whilst meeting and building friendships with other expectant mums.
Classes will currently take place online via Zoom but will still be kept small and will take place over a 6-week term. During each 1hr.30 minute class you will experience:
Flow/Pregnancy Yoga – follow a range of gentle yoga moves that support your body during pregnancy and prepare it for labour. These subtle movements help ease common prenatal ailments such as diastasis recti, lower back pain, pelvic girdle pain, hip pain, heartburn and nausea. No previous yoga experience required.
Active Birth Antenatal Education – learn about different positions that can aid the natural gravitational force of labour and how to help your body deliver your baby.
Breath – learn a variety of breathing techniques to enable you to relax during both pregnancy and labour. Inhaling is key to feeding your muscles during labour, which in turn allows your muscles within you body to work effectively and efficiently. Controlled and deep breathing will calm your mind and body during both pregnancy and birth.
Relax – the end of each class is dedicated to a deep relaxation exercise using a combination of mindfulness and hypnobirthing scripts.
I am a qualified Sally Parkes Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher having completed my 85 hours training earlier this year.
